municipality of Podujevo have stopped, the Kosovo Information
Centre (KIC) reported on Thursday night.
The leading Kosovo Democratic Alliance party confirmed the
information.
Residents of the town of Podujevo remained in their homes during the
day, due to constant Serbian police patrol.
Serbian forces have retreated on Thursday from a village, near
Podujevo.
According to the Kosovo Information Centre, there are still no
information on possible victims or damages, caused by the attacks,
due to blockading the roads linking to Podujevo.
Along with an Albanian by-passer who was killed on Thursday, two
more unidentified Albanian civilians were killed in the attacks, an
unofficial source reported.
The Kosovo Committee for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms
confirmed the death of one Albanian, killed in the Thursday
conflict, and added that the Serbian forces arrested 12 members of
an Albanian family.
Albanian Sources in Pristina and Podujevo reported that the Kosovo
Liberation Army units detained several dozens of Serbian police
officers and confiscated munitions. So far, they have not confirmed
the information that the Serbian forces killed four members of
KLA.
