SARAJEVO, Dec 10 (Hina) - Republika Srpska authorities are
attempting to get around regulations of the Privatisation Law
brought on the level of the state of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH), Adnan
Mujagic, director of the Agency for Privatisation in the Federation
of BH, said on Thursday.
Mujagic said the Bosnian Serb authorities wished Serb refugees from
Croatia to be included in the privatisation process, even though
they were not entitled to it.
He told reporters in Sarajevo the Privatisation Law clearly
specifies that only BH citizens have the right to participate in
privatisation, which is based on property bonds issued on the basis
of general claims.
"That right was gained on the basis of past work in BH, but the Serb
entity wishes to include into the privatisation scheme people who
were never employed or lived in BH", Mujagic said.
Mujagic announced that the Office of the High Representative for BH
was requested a final interpretation of the Privatisation Law
regulations passed in Republika Srpska.
