reported that police have discovered a second person who has
committed the crime of disclosing banking secrets to the media.
Zagreb's daily "Jutarnji List" on October 17 ran an article
entitled "Ankica Tudjman on March 24 of This Year Ties a Deposit of
DM210,000 and US$15,740 with Zagrebacka Banka".
A long-time employee of the Zagrebacka Banka (ZB), Ankica Lepej, on
Monday confessed to having disclosed the state of account of
President Tudjman's wife to the media.
The second person who participated, R.H., also an employee with the
ZB, will be charged after a preliminary investigation by police is
carried out.
Zagrebacka Banka (ZB) has on Monday filed charges before the State
Attorney's Office against persons for disclosing banking secrets
and the unauthorised and illegal disclosure of information on the
state of account of a client of the bank.
The ZB also filed charges against the reporter who published the
classified information, for the criminal act of obtaining
information characterised as a business secret.
