CROATIAN PRESIDENT TUDJMAN ARRIVES IN DUBROVNIK

( Editorial: --> 7189 ) DUBROVNIK, Oct 9 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman arrived in Dubrovnik on Friday for an official visit to the Dubrovnik- Neretva County. The president accompanied by deputy premiers Jure Radic and Mate Granic was met at Dubrovnik's Cilipi airport by the government's commissioner for the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Luka Siljeg. The delegation was also welcomed by the commander of the 4th military region of the Croatian Armed Forces, General Milivoj Petkovic, municipal prefect for Konavle, Luka Korda and the Chief- of-police, Eduard Cengija. During their visit today to the southern most Croatian county, the delegation will visit Cilipi and the recently renovated Franciscan monastery in Pridvorje. President Tudjman is to officially mark the commencement of works on the construction of a bridge across Rijeka Dubrovacka. (Hina) sp /ha 091623 MET oct 98
