SPLIT, Sept 21 (Hina) - The Italian military training naval boat
"Amerigo Vespucci" entered Split's city port on Monday morning. The
Italian Navy ship will visit the Croatian Navy and it will stay five
days in Split.
Croatian Navy commander Vice-Admiral Vid Stipetic will receive a
Italian military-diplomatic delegation which includes the ship's
captain Angelo Lattarulo, the Italian Vice-Consul in Croatia
Gabriel Meucci, and military attaché naval Captain Micol Flori.
Stipetic will inform them of the organisation and development of
the Croatian Navy, especially on the education of sailors and
officers.
The Italian delegation will be received by the Split-Dalmatia
County prefect and by Split's mayor.
The Italian military-diplomatic delegation will lay a wreath at the
Lovrinac cemetery on Wednesday for all those who died in the war. On
Thursday Italian and Croatian sailors will play soccer and
basketball games at the Lora barracks sport fields.
The Italian military training boat will be open for Split's
residents on Wednesday afternoon.
The "Amerigo Vespucci" will leave Split's city port on Friday
morning.
