KOSOVO LIBERATION ARMY AGREES TO NEGOTIATE UNDER ITS CONDITIONS

( Editorial: --> 6744 ) PRISTINA, Oct 8 (Hina) - The Kosovo Liberation Army agreed that the Kosovo crisis could be solved by negotiations, however it will set certain conditions for the preliminary talks between Kosovo Albanians and the authorities in Belgrade, announced the Kosovo Liberation Army's political representative Adem Demaqi on Thursday. The first condition is an immediate cease-fire of all actions of Serbian forces, and their retreat from Kosovo. The second condition is the immediate procedure of sending Serbian war criminals to the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague. The third condition is to allow the return of Albanian displaced persons as soon as possible . The fourth condition is a settlement request for the war damages committed by Serbian military police forces. Demaqi warned that the international representative's proposals gives fewer rights to the Albanians than Kosovo had in former Yugoslavia according to the Constitution from 1974. After elected Milosevic abolished autonomy to the provinces of Kosovo ad Vojvodina. Demaqi believes that solving the Kosovo conflict is guaranteed by the self-determination of its people.
