ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - Former Prime Minister of Great Britain,
Baroness Margaret Thatcher, on Thursday held talks with The
Archbishop of Zagreb, Msgr. Josip Bozanic, and the president of the
Croatian National Parliament, Vlatko Pavletic.
According to the Catholic news agency IKA, Thatcher expressed joy
for the upcoming visit of Pope John Paul II to Croatia, and for the
beatification of Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac.
After talks with Bozanic, Thatcher visited the Zagreb Cathedral and
Stepinac's grave.
She was presented with a hymn book, "Colegium Pro Musica Sacra".
During her visit to the National Parliament, Thatcher also held
talks with Parliament president, Vlatko Pavletic.
She expressed special interest in the structure and legislative
work of the Parliament, as well as its history.
The Parliament's public relations office said the talks also
focused on the Kosovo crisis and its influence on the whole region.
Thatcher also met Parliament party presidents and the Parliament's
Foreign Affairs Committee.
