SARAJEVO, Oct 3 (Hina) - The Interior Ministry of the Croat-Muslim
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday requested a more
effective engagement of international forces in stabilising the
situation in Capljina, southern BH.
Following Friday night's incidents in the village of Tasovcici near
Capljina, which resulted in the killing of one Muslim returnee and
the wounding of another three, Muslim police officers in the local
police force have been prevented from performing their duties, the
Interior Ministry said in a statement carried by the Sarajevo
media.
This bears witness to the fact that returnees cannot be guaranteed
safety, the Ministry said and requested the SFOR commander to
entrust SFOR's special unit for incident prevention with this
task.
The Ministry confirmed that a returnee, Adem Muminagic, was killed
last night in a bomb attack on the house of Sakir Kudra.
Unidentified perpetrators previously set fire to the houses of the
Fazlinovic, Pasic and Bratic families in Tasovcici.
Two Muslim returnees who were not injured in last night's attacks
were detained in the Capljina police station, while other Muslim
returnees were evacuated from the village with SFOR's help.
Capljina police have beaten up Omer Cevro, a representative in the
Federation Parliament, who was arrested in the presence of
international police forces, the Ministry concluded.
