SISAK, Sept 10 (Hina) - One hundred and forty Croatian Serb refugees
arrived in Croatia's Sisak-Moslavina County from Yugoslavia.
This is the largest group of Serb returnees to arrive to their
Croatian homes since the start of the implementation of the
Croatian government's refugee return programme.
The 140 Serbs arrived into Croatia under the organisation of the
Government Office for Refugees and Displaced Persons and the UN
High Commissioner for Refugees.
Representatives of the regional refugees' office and of the
Coordination Centre of the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) greeted the returnees and accompanied
them to their homes.
Since the Croatian military and police operation "Storm" in the
summer of 1995, around 7,300 Serb refugees have returned to their
homes from the Croatian Danube River region, Yugoslavia and the
Bosnian Serb entity of Republika Srpska.
