SARAJEVO, Aug 20 (Hina) - General Director of the Independent Media
Commission (IMC), Krister Thelin, on Thursday held talks with the
Croat member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency, Kresimir
Zubak.
The IMC said in a statement that the talks focused on media issues,
including the re-transmission of programmes of the Croatian Radio
and Television (HRT) in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The IMC is currently considering the legality of the retransmission
of HRT programmes in the country and whether this was in accordance
with the radio and television programme code in Bosnia that came
into effect on August 1.
All radio and television programmes being broadcast in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, including the HRT, must be in accordance with not only
this Code, but also with rules and regulations for media
established by the OSCE mission, the statement said.
Describing the meeting with Zubak as informative and constructive,
Thelin stressed that it was one in a line of meetings the aim of
which was to construct a detailed and accurate image regarding open
issues of the retransmission of HRT programmes in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
