SARAJEVO, Aug 25 (Hina) - The Croatian Peasants' Party of Bosnia-
Herzegovina (HSS BiH) will not attend the meeting with the Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman, scheduled for August 26 in Zagreb, the
party president Ilija Simic said in a statement sent to Hina on
Tuesday.
If they truly wish to help Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina, President
Tudjman and Croatia can do it in two ways: by not interfering with
the process of development of political subjectivity of Bosnian
Croats and through internal development as a truly pluralistic and
democratic country.
Unfortunately, everything the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and
its president Tudjman have done so far is contrary to that and there
is no reason to believe that the meeting we have been invited to
could represent any positive and productive change, the HSS
statement said.
The HSS BiH leadership firmly believes in the democratic future of
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia and the establishment of mutually
useful and productive relations between Croats living in the two
countries, the statement said.
