SARAJEVO, August 25 (Hina)- The deadline for the exchange of
registration plates in BH has been extended until the end of
September.
The UN Spokeswoman Kelly Moore said in Sarajevo on Tuesday that the
decision had been made so that BH citizens could have enough time to
get new registration plates for their cars.
An earlier decision by High Representative for BH Carlos Westendorp
called for the replacement of old registration plates with the new,
uniform one, by 31 August. Upon the expiry of the deadline the
police would have started penalising car owners who failed to
comply with the decision.
Since 1 July BH vehicles have not benn allowed to leave the
territory of BH without new registration plates.
