ZAGREB, July 17 (Hina) - The head of the Organisation for Security
and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) mission in Croatia was seriously
injured in a car accident in downtown Zagreb on Thursday
afternoon.
According to Jutarnji List daily of Friday, OSCE's Tim Guldimann
injured his spine. He was hospitalised and is out of life danger.
The accident occurred at 4.55 P.M. when a Zagreb-Parking tow truck
crashed into a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
(UNHCR) Volvo 940 car, Zagreb police spokesman Josip Begovic told
Hina today.
The tow truck car did not let the UNHCR car which was coming towards
it pass through.
Guldimann was in the UNHCR car.
The OSCE mission confirmed the accident and announced an official
statement would be issued this morning.
According to Begovic, Zlatko Cetinski, a policeman accompanying
the OSCE mission head, was also seriously injured, while Damir
Horvat, the UNHCR mission in Croatia head's chauffeur, suffered
light injuries.
