THREE KILLED & FIVE INJURED IN CAR CRASH ON ADRIATIC ROAD

( Editorial: --> 6475 ) KARLOBAG, July 8 (Hina) - Three foreign nationals were killed and five people were injured on Wednesday in a car accident which occurred on the Senj-Karlobag road, which runs along the Adriatic coast, near Ribarica. The accident happened when an Opel Omega bearing German registration plates ST-LP-195 went over to the left lane and collided with a van of the company "Rijekaceste" with registration plates RI-564-AH. A woman and two children from the Omega car were killed while another child and a passenger were severely injured. The injured were transported to hospitals in Gospic and Rijeka. Three people from the van suffered light injuries, said judge Matilda Krunic who performed an on-the-spot investigation. The Senj-Karlobag section of the road was reopened for traffic at 4.30pm.
