SARAJEVO, July 9 (Hina) - Lots were drawn on Thursday for the order
political parties and independent candidates will have on ballots
at this September's election in Bosnia.
The lot-drawing was done at the Organisation for Security and
Cooperation in Europe mission headquarters in Sarajevo.
Voters who show up at polling stations on September 12 and 13 will be
given ballots containing the names of 83 parties or coalitions and
independent candidates.
Today's lot-drawing determined that the Serb People's Alliance,
headed by Bosnian Serb President Biljana Plavsic, is the first on
the ballots, followed by the Croatian Peasant Party of Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
The Coalition for Independent and Democratic BH, headed by the
Muslim Party of Democratic Action, is 17th on the ballots, the
Social Democratic Party of BH is 27th, and the Croatian Democratic
Union of BH is 63rd.
The coalition of the New Croat Initiative and the Croatian
Christian Democratic Union is 68th.
