KERN REMAINS SAKIC'S ATTORNEY FOR NEXT TEN DAYS

( Editorial: --> 2362 ) ZAGREB, June 19 (Hina) - Zagreb attorney Ivan Kern confirmed on Friday morning that in the next ten days he would remain Dinko Sakic's court-appointed attorney, until the suspect is acquainted with all charges. "Only after this will Sakic decide whether to keep me as his defender or choose another attorney," Kern said. Kern met Sakic in the County Prison in Zagreb's suburb of Remetinec on Thursday evening and attended his examination by a physician. After his extradition in Buenos Aires, Sakic, World War II commander of the Jasenovac concentration camp, arrived in Zagreb via Frankfurt on board a Croatia Airlines flight. Three physicians examined Sakic and I can say that considering his age he is in a satisfactory condition, Kern said. His sugar level and blood pressure are somewhat increased, he added. On Friday Sakic will appear before the investigating judge of the Zagreb County Court and will most probably for the time being not use his right to present his defence, he added.
