ZAGREB, May 27 (Hina) - The Croatian Embassy in Buenos Aires on
Wednesday said the Argentine Foreign Ministry had officially
approved the extradition of former Jasenovac camp commander Dinko
Sakic to Croatia.
"We received from the main department for legal affairs of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina an official written notice
which fulfils Croatia's demands and approves the extradition of
Dinko Sakic to Croatia," Croatian Ambassador to Argentina Neda
Rosandic-Saric told Hina.
"The documentation has been forwarded and is at the Ministry of
Justice of the Republic of Croatia which is now discussing the
technical details of the extradition with the appropriate bodies in
Argentina."
Rosandic-Saric added that the technical details were related to the
organisation of transportation, among others.
"From today Croatia has a period of 30 day to arrive for Dinko Sakic
and we believe that this will be done well before the expiration of
that period," the Croatian Ambassador said.
