ZAGREB, June 17 (Hina) - Dinko Sakic, former commander of the
Jasenovac World War Two concentration camp, was turned over to
officials of the Croatian Interior Ministry's Zagreb-based
Interpol office at the Buenos Aires airport at 10.20pm Wednesday,
in line with an order from the Croatian Justice Ministry.
Accompanied by Interpol officials from Zagreb, Sakic will board a
regular Lufthansa flight in Buenos Aires and reach the Frankfurt,
Germany, airport in the morning of Thursday, June 18, Hina was told
by the head of the Croatian Interior Ministry's public relations
office Slavko Rako.
In cooperation with the German police, Interpol officials from
Zagreb will guard Sakic's stay at the Frankfurt airport, whence he
is expected to depart for Zagreb in the afternoon hours.
The Croatian Interior Ministry announced that the arrival of Sakic
to Zagreb, where he will be turned over to officials of the Croatian
Justice Ministry, will be reported in due time.
