ZAGREB, June 18 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Premier Ljerka Mintas-
Hodak has confirmed that Government representatives held talks
with representatives of the Article 11 Commission on Thursday.
Nothing came to a standstill in those talks, it was a matter of
regular contacts, she said.
The Article 11 Commission is following the implementation of the
agreement on peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube River
region and is comprised of ambassadors from interested countries
and international organisations.
The United States Embassy in Zagreb confirmed that the Commission
on Wednesday discussed a draft plan for the return of all refugees
and displaced persons, drafted by the Croatian Government.
Mintas-Hodak said today that the plan will soon be completed,
debated in the Government and sent to the Croatian National
Parliament.
She declined to comment on speculations from the grape-vine which
say international representatives brought forward five new
criticisms of the plan, which the Croatian Government allegedly
refused to accept, except one regarding tenancy rights.
