TRAVNIK, May 24 (Hina) - President of the Croat-Moslem federation
in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ejup Ganic, said during Sunday's visit to
the Central Bosnian Canton, that all Croats and Bosniacs (Moslems)
who want to, will be able to return to their homes in this Canton.
Ganic visited Bukovica, a village populated mostly by Croats before
the war, now populated mostly by Bosniacs.
Conditions for the return of all Croats who wanted to return had to
be ensured, and nobody could stop the process, Ganic said.
Gathered Bosniacs reacted to his words with shouts "We don't want
Ustashas in Bukovica", "We do not want coexistence", while planks
were thrown at reporters.
Ganic, however, continued his speech on the right to property and
return, and was accompanied by curses and shouting.
During talks with the deputy prefect of the Central Bosnian Canton,
Ivan Saric, municipal heads and relevant ministries in the Bosnian
Federation, Ganic requested that Canton police numbers increase in
Bukovica, and that a search be done for any remaining explosive
devices.
"Notwithstanding the expressed emotions today, all Croats will
return to their homes. Of course, this also goes for Bosniacs in
other parts of the Canton," Ganic said.
He also held talks with Croats exiled from Guca Gora.
"I came here to give you support. All of you who want to, will be able
to return to Guca Gora, and what is yours cannot be refused by
anybody," Ganic said.
