ALBANIAN POLITICIAN CALLS FOR CREATION OF A KOSOVO SINN-FEIN

( Editorial: --> 1277 ) PRISTINA, June 15 (Hina) - The President of the Parliamentary Party of Kosovo, Adem Demaci, called on the Liberation Army of Kosovo (OVK) to establish a political wing as soon as possible. In an interview published on Monday in Pristina's Albanian- language daily Bujku, Demaci said that the OVK should establish a political wing "because one cannot communicate with the world with statements released from forests, a partner should exist which would take over and execute political tasks". Demaci said he would take on the role as leader of an Albanian Sinn- Fein. As a condition of this post, he said OVK should accept that to reach a final solution of the Kosovo issue, force should not be exclusively used, but political means as well. Demaci, who was the first among Albanian politicians in Kosovo to publicly acknowledge the existence of the Liberation Army of Kosovo, said however that he did not create the OVK. In the Bujku interview Demaci criticised the Kosovo Albanian leader, Ibrahim Rugova, stating that he firstly declared that the Liberation Army did not exist, and later said that it was an extension of the Yugoslav secret service.
