SARAJEVO, 21 May (Hina) - The Provisional Election Commission of
the OSCE mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina decided on Thursday to
extend a deadline for registration of parties and individual
candidates for the September elections in BH.
The mission's office in Sarajevo stated that the deadline would be
extended until May 25 at 17:00 hrs and that the mission's regional
offices would be opened for registration as late as Saturday. As of
June 8 the Commission will start registering party alliances.
OSCE spokesman in Sarajevo, Dardan Gashi, said that by May 19, which
was the original deadline for registration for the September
elections, the OSCE registered 68 parties and nine independent
candidates.
