FOREIGN MINISTER GRANIC RECEIVES US AMBASSADOR

( Editorial: --> 2418 ) ZAGREB, May 8 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic received the United States Ambassador to Croatia William Montgomery on Friday for talks on a return programme for persons who left Croatia. The Croatian Government will soon give additional explanations, as well as return programme implementation procedures, to the Article 11 Commission (supervising the implementation of the Erdut Agreement on the reintegration of eastern Croatia) in relation to the Procedure for Individual Return of Persons Who Left the Republic of Croatia, Minister Granic told the ambassador. The procedure and programme of return of and care for displaced persons and refugees will be adjusted with the views of the international community, Granic said. Croatia does not bring the return into question, but the return has to be individual and on humanitarian bases, and in line with the actual situation and circumstances, the foreign minister said.
