SARAJEVO, April 5 (Hina) - The March stage of the programme
"Harvest", aimed at collecting weapons, mines and other explosive
devices from the citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina, was completed
successfully.
According to the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) press centre in
Sarajevo, during March Bosnian citizens handed over 4,954 anti-
personnel mines, 508 anti-tank mines, 826 cannon and 2,530 mortar
shells, 443,800 pieces of small-calibre ammunition, 1,930 pieces
of various weaponry, 12,052 grenades, 942 pieces of ammunition for
rocket launchers and 2,344 kg of explosive.
The operation, which is being conducted by the armed forces and
police of Bosnia's two entities, officially ends on April 15.
The SFOR multinational division "North" said the possible
continuation of the operation should be determined by entity armed
forces and police.
SFOR officials said they believed that citizens would continue to
hand over their weapons after April 15.
