ZAGREB, March 6 (Hina) - Croatia is following conflicts in Kosovo
with great concern, fearing that further escalation could
seriously destabilise FR Yugoslavia and cause a wider crisis in the
southeast of Europe, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a
statement Friday.
Croatia joins the international community in condemning all kinds
of violence and expresses sorrow for the victims, appealing for the
conflicts to cease and for the situation to calm down.
Croatia supports the territorial integrity of every European
country in the spirit of the Pact on Stability in Europe and basic
principles of the OSCE.
Croatia is convinced that the solution to the crisis can only be
found in equal dialogue between Serbian authorities and the
Albanian community in Kosovo, with a guarantee of full protection
of all human, minority and political rights of Kosovo Albanians,
according to European standards, the statement siad.
