MOSTAR, Feb 28 (Hina) - "Between 25 and 30 per cent of Bosnian
citizens at this moment don't know for whom to vote" at the
presidential election announced for September, the president of
the Helsinki Committee of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Srdjan Dizdarevic,
told reporters in Mostar Saturday.
He believed that group of citizens would determine the winner at the
election.
The media must play a correct and fair role and be open to all
various political tendencies and various political leaders,
Dizdarevic said.
Today he headed a seminar for observers of the protection of the
freedom of the media and human rights.
The participants in the seminar, organised by the Bosnian Helsinki
Committee and held in Mostar, pointed out that there are three
completely separated media systems in BH which are under the direct
influence of the three ruling political parties.
Zoran Udovicic from Sarajevo pointed out that Bosnian television
when reporting from Croat majority areas only broadcasts news
regarding incidents, letting positive progress go unnoticed.
