SARAJEVO, Feb 7 (Hina) - Deputy to the International High
Representative in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Jacques Klein, on Saturday
announced the possibility of changing the election regulations and
rules in Bosnia-Herzegovina, to the aim of improving the chances of
opposition parties at elections announced for this September.
Speaking to members of the Croat National Council of Bosnia-
Herzegovina assembly on Saturday, Klein said that he would bring
eight experts to the country by the end of the month, who had been
involved in the drafting of election regulations in European
countries with a multi-ethnic population structure.
The next elections should enable greater success for political
parties in Bosnia-Herzegovina which do not function by nationalist
principles, Klein said.
He stressed that politics based on naked nationalism should be
avoided, adding that it was time politicians began using arguments
and ceased using hollow phrases.
