ZAGREB, Feb 27 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman received
the incoming Czech Ambassador to Croatia, Jiri Kudela, on Friday.
Ambassador Kudela welcomed the peaceful reintegration of the
Croatian Danube River region and said that the Czech Republic
considered Croatia a factor of stabilisation in the region.
The Czech Republic considers the development of the Croatian
economy to be positive and understands Croatia's economic
problems, said the Ambassador.
Recalling the close historical and cultural ties between the Czech
Republic and Croatia, Tudjman hailed the cooperation with the Czech
Republic on all levels.
Tudjman asked the new ambassador to pass on his best wishes to the
Czech President Vaclav Havel for successful leadership of the Czech
Republic.
