MOSTAR, Feb 17 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Democratic
Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BH), Bozo Rajic, Tuesday refuted
claims that his party was taking part in the distribution of flyers
calling on Croats in central Bosnia and the Tuzla-Podrinje Canton
to move to the municipalities of Glamoc and Drvar or to Croatia.
These claims were made by the head of the Catholic Church in BH,
cardinal Vinko Puljic.
"I state with responsibility that the Presidency of the HDZ BH, as
the most responsible political body of our party, has never
considered, approved of, nor endorsed such or similar activities,"
Rajic said in a statement.
"We in particular refute all frameworks and qualifications
ascribing us the responsibility for the existence of the project of
'humane moving' and the division of BH", Rajic said.
"With a sense of duty and responsibility the HDZ BH distances itself
from a possible activity of HDZ BH members in the distribution of
the 'questionnaire'", the statement said, pointing out that "if
they do so, they do it without the knowledge and decisions of HDZ BH
bodies".
The statement added that available information of the party
"indicate the connection of Associations of Homeland War Victims of
Herzeg-Bosna with these activities, for which the HDZ BH is neither
politically nor legally responsible."
