SARAJEVO, 27 Jan (Hina) - New chairman of the OSCE mission in
Bosnia-Herzegovina Robert Barry, who succeeded Robert Frowick in
the post, on Tuesday informed the press in Sarajevo about the
outcome of last September's municipal elections.
According to Barry, today's meeting of the Temporary Election
Commission for BH confirmed election results for 45 municipalities
(which elected municipal councils), and the results for the
remaining 13 will be confirmed by the end of the week.
"In the next two weeks regional committees for implementation of
election results will recommend that they be implemented in 39
municipalities where local government bodies have not been
established yet," stressed Barry.
"Hence, there are 39 municipalities where the head of the OSCE
mission in BH and the High Representative can apply their definite
and binding arbitration," said Barry.
