VINKOVCI, Feb 6 (Hina) - The remains of 67 people killed during the
Serb aggression on Croatia have been exhumed in eastern Croatia in
the past two weeks, Marko Milos of the Croatian Government's
commission for detained and missing persons said Friday.
Sixty people have been identified to date, he said, adding 13 buried
in the Tovarnik area, on the border with Serbia, are still being
traced.
Teams of the government's commission for the missing who are
working on exhumations in eastern Slavonia are ready to begin
working on the new cemetery in Vukovar, Milos said, adding that
1,200 are buried there according to data of the government's
commission.
Exhumations at the cemetery should begin on 16 February, and in the
meantime, exhumations will also be carried out in other areas in
Croatia.
Early next week exhumations will begin in three villages where it is
believed the remains of more than 60 people will be found, Milos
said.
