REMAINS OF 67 PEOPLE EXHUMED IN E. CROATIA OVER PAST TWO WEEKS

( Editorial: --> 0005 ) VINKOVCI, Feb 6 (Hina) - The remains of 67 people killed during the Serb aggression on Croatia have been exhumed in eastern Croatia in the past two weeks, Marko Milos of the Croatian Government's commission for detained and missing persons said Friday. Sixty people have been identified to date, he said, adding 13 buried in the Tovarnik area, on the border with Serbia, are still being traced. Teams of the government's commission for the missing who are working on exhumations in eastern Slavonia are ready to begin working on the new cemetery in Vukovar, Milos said, adding that 1,200 are buried there according to data of the government's commission. Exhumations at the cemetery should begin on 16 February, and in the meantime, exhumations will also be carried out in other areas in Croatia. Early next week exhumations will begin in three villages where it is believed the remains of more than 60 people will be found, Milos said. (hina) ha jn 061913 MET feb 98
