The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro) did not
give its consent to the organisation of the election on its
territory. Therefore, Croatian citizens in Yugoslavia will have to
travel to the Hungarian city of Peczs, if they want to go to the
polls, said Marijan Ramuscak, the head of Croatia's National
Electoral Commission.
Out of all countries where Croatians live, 46 states have allowed
the conduct of the Croatian election on their territory. Croatians
live in another 22 countries where it is impossible to organise the
voting, and those citizens will be able to cast their ballots at the
nearest poling stations, in countries which consented to the
conduct of the Croatian election.
Ramuscak told reporters that the Electoral Commission had accepted
a suggestion of the OSCE about the prevention of the multiple voting
in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Therefore, each Croatian citizen who go to
the polls in Bosnia, will receive a stamp on their hand, and those
stamps are visible only under a sun lamp.
