ZAGREB, Dec 9 (Hina) - The Ethic Commission, a seven-member supraparty body which will oversee the upcoming parliamentary elections and assess the conduct of participants in the elections, on Thursday held its constituent session
under the chairmanship of Ivo Padovan, president of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences (HAZU). The session was held behind closed doors and details are still not known. According to the Election Law, the Commission should adopt the election code by the start of election campaigning, December 14. The code should determine the rules of conduct of individuals and political parties in the election campaign, however, before the adoption of the code, the Commission must consult with parliamentary parties.
