ZAGREB, Dec 12 (Hina) - On the occasion of the death of Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, a commemorative session of the Zagreb City Assembly and the Zagreb City Authorities was held in the Old City Hall Sunday. Present at the
session, observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to President Tudjman. On behalf of the city of Zagreb, president of the City Assembly Zlatko Canjuga and Zagreb mayor Marina Matulovic-Dropulic said the words of farewell, gratitude and respect. farewell speech.
Zagreb mayor Matulovic-Dropulic said President Tudjman lived and
fought for Croatia. All of us, who had the fortune and honour to work
with President Tudjman, felt the strength of his personality,
Matulovic-Dropulic said.
The book of condolence was open for signing after the session, and
many Zagreb residents are waiting in lines to wrote their last words
to President Tudjman.
