NEW YORK, Nov 15 (Hina) - The United Nations Security Council on Monday held a session at the UN headquarters in New York in which all three members of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency took part jointly for the first time. The session
was held behind the closed doors and other details have not been known so far. Some diplomatic sources informed Hina correspondent that all three members of the Bosnian collective Presidency - Alija Izetbegovic, Ante Jelavic and Zivko Radisic - attended the session. It was organised at an initiative of United States' Ambassador to the UN, Richard Holbrooke, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Dayton peace accords. for the first time.
The session was held behind the closed doors and other details have
not been known so far. Some diplomatic sources informed Hina
correspondent that all three members of the Bosnian collective
Presidency - Alija Izetbegovic, Ante Jelavic and Zivko Radisic -
attended the session.
It was organised at an initiative of United States' Ambassador to
the UN, Richard Holbrooke, on the occasion of the anniversary of the
Dayton peace accords.
In recent day it was not certain whether Alija Izetbegovic would
come at this session of the UN Security Council. Although his
arrival was announced, he failed to appear in Dayton last week when
an international conference was held to mark the fourth anniversary
of the conclusion of the Dayton agreements. Izetbegovic is said to
have been in an American hospital for medical examination at that
time.
