PASALIC:HDZ ELECTORAL LISTS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN COMING TEN DAYS

ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina)- A Vice President of the ruling HDZ party, Ivic Pasalic, on Saturday announced that electoral lists of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) would be made public in coming ten days. Speaking to reporters after Saturday's session of the coordination of HDZ county committees and heads of election headquarters, Pasalic did not give details whether these lists would be announced after the HDZ Head Committee's session, but he said that the lists would be first discussed by the committee for intra-party and security issues and then they would be drawn up by the HDZ Presidency. Pasalic declined to speak about the date for calling elections neither did he say when a session of the ruling party's Head Committee, chief election headquarters and all HDZ bodies would be held. He told reporters that Saturday's session of the coordination of county committees and headquarters had revolved around activities made so far and around candidates proposed by HDZ branches on the ground. Asked whether another session of the HDZ Presidency would be held on Sunday Pasalic neither confirmed nor rejected this supposition. He declined to say who had convened Friday's night session of the HDZ Presidency. What he said is that there is the foothold in the HDZ Statute for the convention of that session as well as for the adoption of temporary rules of procedure for the Presidency's work. (hina) ms
