LOVAS LOVAS, Dec 9 (Hina) - Vukovar-Srijem County prefect Rudolf Koenig on Thursday inaugurated a gas-supply system for the eastern Croatian Municipality of Lovas. Koenig told the press some US$26.7 million had been invested to date
in the building of gas-supply systems in 40 villages and the towns of Vinkovci and Zupanja in Vukovar-Srijem County, which suffered the most destruction in the Serb aggression on Croatia earlier this decade. Gas-supply systems are currently being built in Stari Jankovci, and part of Nijemci, while the residents of Ilok should also be provided with gas soon. "The gas-supply system in Lovas means that returnees to this municipality are willing to turn to the future and invest in the improvement of the standard of living," said Koenig.
