ZAGREB, Nov 12 (Hina) - The prime ministers of Croatia and Hungary, Zlatko Matesa and Viktor Orban respectively, on Friday set to work the a 400kW Croatian-Hungarian transmission line at Tumbri, a transformer station near Zagreb. Both
officials said the connecting of the two countries' power supply systems was a project of outstanding importance which would advance strategic relations between Croatia and Hungary. The transmission line connecting Croatia's Zerjavinec station and Hungary's Heviz links Croatia with Europe by a new direction, ensuring the direct possibility of importing and exporting electricity to countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Since the Zerjavinec transformer station is not completed yet, the transmission line has temporarily been connected via the Tumbri station.
