LJUBLJANA, Nov 17 (Hina) - Slovene Deputy Prime Minister Marjan Podobnik on Wednesday told the Slovene Parliament that while making a decision on the ratification of an agreement on cross-border trade with Croatia, representatives
should act "very cautiously". Croatia and Slovenia are friendly countries, Podobnik said, stressing, however, it would be dangerous to underestimate certain statements and acts of Croatia. According to him, also dangerous was mutual radicalisation of standpoints. Parliamentary parties failed to reach a consensus on the issue of the ratification of the agreement at a meeting Monday, and scheduled another meeting. Representatives of the Slovene Foreign Ministry Franco Juri said that the agreement on cross-border trade did not prejudge the border issue.(hina) it jn
