SARAJEVO, Oct 28 (Hina) - A law on the establishment of a uniform border police for Bosnia-Herzegovina should be passed by 1 December, and if not, it is to be expected the High Representative will take adequate measures, the
International Police Task Force commissioner, Detlef Buwitt, said in Sarajevo on Thursday. Addressing a press conference held on the occasion of a conference of police experts fighting organised crime, Buwitt said the lack of a uniform border protection system in Bosnia represented the biggest obstacle to fighting organised crime. The establishment of a uniform border police force has been late for a month and we shall do everything to enable the first 300 border policemen take over surveillance at four previously agreed crossings, Buwitt said.(hina) ha jn
