This parliamentary inquiry commission was set up on March 26 this
year by the Sabor's lower house, at an initiative of the Croatian
Party of Rights (HSP).
Its task was to establish who made a decision on seizure of the arms
from the Territorial Defence as well as how and who carried out that
decision in Croatia and whether there were persons or legal
entities that opposed this decision. In addition, the commission
should also find out how much and what kind of weapons had been
confiscated, who received that arms and how much Croatia lost due to
that decision and its implementation.
A dozen persons who used to be officials of some institutions and
also members of the then Committee of the Total National Defence and
Social self-protection (ONO i DSZ), gave their statements before
the commission.
