ZAGREB, Sept 8 (Hina) - The first autumn session of the Croatian Sabor's House of Representatives will start on September 22. Among some 30 items on the agenda are also bills on elections and electoral units. This was decided by the Parliamentary Presidency at a session held on Wednesday. #L# The MPs will also discuss the final constitutional bill on the Croatian Constitutional Court and several reports, including a report on the execution of the state budget in the first six months of 1999. The House of Counties, which meets in mid-September, will most probably discuss at its first session also the bill on electoral units, Parliament Vice-President Vladimir Seks told reporters after the session. Commenting on the announcement of the Opposition Six that they will return to parliamentary bodies, Seks said he believed their return was not motivated by their wish to help in the work of the Parliament but served more the purpose of election campaigning. Asked to comment on the Opposition claim that they will request a vote on their election bill, Seks reminded that the debate on that bill was completed. There will and can be no formal discussion about that bill, it can be discussed only indirectly - during the debate on the Croatian Democratic Union's election bill, Seks said. He added the Opposition bill would only be voted on. Asked about the parliamentary work plan, Seks said the current plan was for the parliament to be in session two weeks, then have a one- week break, and be in session for two more weeks. Circumstances after that and the decision on whether there are issues that still need to be discussed by the Sabor will influence whether the Sabor will not work until the expiry of its mandate or if the House of Representatives will be dissolved, Seks said.
