ZAGREB, Sept 27 (Hina) - Ten officers of the Croatian Army on Monday morning departed from the Zagreb airport of Pleso to a UNMOSIL peace mission in Sierra Leone, where they are to participate in the monitoring of a division zone of
warring sides and the disarmament process, as a part of United Nations military observers. According to deputy head of the Administration for Military Strategy and Defence Planning Mladen Barkovic, 14 Croatian "monitoring" officers were selected, however, four officer did not meet high health criteria necessary for the Sierra Leone area. By the signing of an agreement with the United Nations, the ten Croatian officers will be a part of the United Nations and its command. The ten officers are to arrive in Paris later in the day from where they are to depart for New Guinea.
