PRISTINA, Sept 20 (Hina) - Kosovo Force peace troops extended the deadline for the demilitarisation of the Kosovo Liberation Army for another 48 hours, given that representatives of the KLA and the KFOR failed to solve contentious
issues at negotiations held Sunday evening. Commander of the Kosovo Force Peace troops Mike Jackson said that the two parties were not able to reach consensus on the quantity of weapons which would be granted to new units of the Kosovo corps. Jackson said that him and civil administrator for Kosovo Bernard Koucher agreed to extend the deadline for another 48 hours to avoid unnecessary conflicts.
