PRISTINA, Sept 14 (Hina) - The Interim Government of the southern Yugoslav province of Kosovo on Tuesday published a decision on creating a new defence system according to which, Kosovo is to be divided into six defence zones with
operative and territorial responsibilities and authorities. The six zones include all 29 Kosovo municipalities. The decision was passed five days before the completion of the demilitarisation process of the Kosovo Liberation Army which lasted 90 days. The KLA status in the future has not yet been defined. In the meantime, the KLA political head and president of the Kosovo Interim Government, Hashim Thaqi, as well as other KLA representatives, are negotiating with United States senior officials about modalities of the KLA transformation. The matter could soon be on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council.(hina) it
