PRISTINA, Sept 10 (Hina) - The political leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and president of an interim Kosovo government, Hashim Thaqi, on Friday left for the United States, where he will attend a seminar on democratic
coalition. Prior to his departure Thaqi said a project of KLA's transformation had been sent to the U.N. Security Council and he believed the project would be discussed with high US officials in charge of the issue. During his stay, which is to last several days, Thaqi and his hosts will discuss the current situation in Kosovo, especially as regards demilitarisation and KLA's transformation. Thaqi and a delegation of some 30 political officials of different orientation and representatives of non-government organisations have been invited to the seminar.(hina) rml
