ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - Croatia's export in the first seven months of this year amounted to US$2.4 billion, which is 5.2 percent less than in the same period in 1998. At the same time, import reached US$4.4 billion, i.e. 9.2 percent
less than last year. The foreign trade deficit in the first seven months was US$2 billion. The most exported goods were intermediary products, bar power, with the total amount of US$826.8 million, a drop of 7.3 percent. The most imported were capital products, imported for US$1.5 billion, a drop of 1.9 percent in relation to 1998. The export of agricultural products in this year's first seven months amounted to US$2.3 billion, which is 5.1 percent less than in the same period the year before, while the same goods were imported for US$3.8 billion, a drop of 9.2 percent. Most goods were exported to and imported from Italy and Germany.
