SPLIT, Aug 23 (Hina) - Croatia's cement factory "Dalmacijacement" on Monday forwarded to Israel a ship carrying 10,000 tonnes of clinker cement. The shipment was effected in line with an agreement signed a month ago between the
factory's majority owner, Britain's "Redimix", and Israeli construction company "Nesuer Epurain," relative to the purchase of 120 tonnes of "Dalmacijacement" clinker. The is the first time the Croatian cement-manufacturer has exported a product other than cement. Speaking to Hina on Tuesday, the chairman of the company's management, Vinko Janjak, the clinker agreement was very important, and indicated the product's high quality. Following privatisation and financial rehabilitation, "Dalmacijacement" can manufacture two million tonnes of cement, the same amount as in the 1980s, prior to the Homeland War, Janjak said.
