CROATIA, EGYPT SIGN PROTOCOL ON TRADE COOPERATION

ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - Croatia and Egypt in Zagreb on Friday signed a protocol on trade cooperation at the first session of a mixed Croatian-Egyptian foreign trade committee, held at the Croatian Economy Ministry. The protocol was signed on behalf of Croatia by Zdravko Frleta, Assistant Economy Minister, and on behalf of Egypt by El-Sayed Abou El-Komsan, the first under-secretary at the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Supply. The two sides agreed on the assembling of agricultural machinery in Egypt, as well as on Croatia's participation in a fair in Cairo next year, and on organising a week of Egypt in Croatia and a week of Croatia in Egypt. They also discussed the establishment of a joint construction company. Egypt will soon join the organisation Comesa, which includes a joint market for east and south Africa, with 21 countries and 360,000,000 citizens. This could enable Croatian
