UNION REPRESENTATIVES MEET RULING PARTY OFFICIALS

ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - Representatives of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) and the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) on Wednesday discussed social and economic problems and SSSH's minimum election demands, defined in 25 items and sent to all political parties. SSSH president Davor Juric and HDZ representative Nikica Valentic told reporters they were satisfied with today's talks. Juric said the SSSH and the HDZ agreed that conditions for improving the economic and social situation in Croatia were economic growth, an increase of investments and the creation of new jobs. Juric also said the talks would continue after the HDZ delivered its election programme to the SSSH. "I believe the programme will include SSSH's demands", he added. The HDZ has studied SSSH's demands, said Valentic, adding he agreed with some of them and they would serve to his party as a reminder and motivation
